Non-Governmental Organization

Bold in Action (NGO) was founded in 2025 in response to a reality where war is no longer an event, but an ongoing condition shaping society, culture, and international relations. We operate from a clear position: supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and working with the cultural dimension of war are not separate activities. They are part of the same process — the process through which a society defends itself, redefines itself, and communicates its experience to the world. Our work begins with direct, practical support to military units. This is not symbolic. It is targeted, timely, and grounded in real needs on the ground. At the same time, we engage with the creative practices of servicemembers, veterans, and fallen defenders. These are not peripheral stories. This is a body of work created under conditions of risk, responsibility, and irreversibility — a cultural layer that cannot be replicated outside of war. We reject the simplification of this experience into narratives of trauma or heroism designed for external consumption. Military artists are not subjects of observation. They are authors. Their work is not illustration — it is evidence, language, and form. Our role is to work with this material seriously: to document it, to develop exhibition and residency formats, and to build long-term pathways for its integration into the European cultural context. Not as a temporary topic, but as a structural presence. The team combines experience in architecture, project management, and cultural curation in wartime conditions. This allows us to operate where ideas meet constraints — logistics, security, time, and accountability. Working with us is not about supporting Ukraine as an abstract cause. It is about engaging with a process that is already reshaping the cultural landscape of Europe. We provide access to a context that cannot be simulated — the environment of military artists. But this access comes with a requirement: to work precisely, ethically, and without simplification. We are open to collaboration with institutions and partners who are ready to move beyond symbolic gestures and engage with reality — complex, demanding, and formative.

Наша міссія

We exist to be present where it matters most — transforming destruction into new possibilities, and challenges into the strength of communities. Our mission is grounded in recovery and support: of people, communities, and territories shaped by war. We create safe and enabling spaces for learning, creativity, and collective action — not as a symbolic gesture, but as a necessary condition for resilience. We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and stand with those who defend the country. At the same time, we work with those who remain in civilian life — addressing loss, uncertainty, and the long-term impact of war. This is not parallel work. It is one continuous effort — to sustain society under pressure and to shape the conditions for its future.
Projects in Action

Trajectory of Integration: Pixel Creativity
The project "Trajectory of Integration: Pixel Creativity" is an attempt to explore how the creative practices of veterans, active military personnel, and artists who have died in the war can enter the European cultural space.
We start with reflection and dialogue, approaching this work carefully in order to preserve it and gradually develop formats for its presentation.

From Hand to Hand
"From Hand to Hand" is an initiative that enables the direct transfer of support from donors to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, minimizing бюрократичні процеси.
Its goal is to ensure that assistance is targeted, timely, and accountable, through direct communication, documented delivery, and follow-up reporting.

Team-led Projects

From Destruction to New Life
"From Destruction to New Life" is a project focused on transforming war-damaged spaces into safe and meaningful places for communities.
The initiative brings together architecture, work with memory, and support for people who have experienced trauma. Within the project, concepts for recovery have been developed that go beyond rebuilding damaged areas, instead shaping new environments that are more resilient, humane, and oriented toward the future.
It is an example of how ruins can become a foundation for growth, and how communities can act as a driving force of recovery.
We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine
We support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through material, technical, and humanitarian assistance, helping defenders carry out their mission.
12 Schools for Resilience
"12 Schools for Resilience" is a project focused on the restoration and modernization of school environments, implemented as part of the team of the Charitable Foundation "BRAVE" with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe programme and international partners.
The initiative aims to create safe, comfortable, and resilient learning conditions for children during wartime.
Good Neighbourhood Initiative
"Good Neighbourhood Initiative" is a project focused on creating a safe and welcoming space for children and the community, implemented with the support of the Goethe-Institut and partners.
The initiative transformed a neglected urban space into a contemporary place for interaction, creativity, and everyday use, contributing to a stronger sense of safety and community connection.

Equipment
We provide systematic support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by sourcing and delivering what units need to remain resilient and effective.
Together with European partners, we mobilise materials, equipment, and technical supplies — from drones and thermal imaging devices to generators, communication tools, and tactical kits.
We complement this with small but essential things: snacks, coffee, homemade treats, and everyday items that help restore energy and bring a sense of warmth.
Our role is simple: to ask, to find, to deliver — and to get it exactly where it is needed most.

Goodies
We regularly collect and deliver baked goods, sweets, coffee, energy drinks, preserves, and homemade treats to soldiers — small things that bring warmth and a sense of support.

Supplies
We deliver essential supplies to servicemembers — including tactical gloves, power banks, batteries, cables, and repair kits — everything that strengthens their resilience in the field.
Support the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Партнери
We are building a sustainable system of cooperation with Ukrainian and European partners who share our values and support the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Working together with colleagues from Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and other European countries, we mobilize resources, expertise and financial support for educational, cultural and defense initiatives.
This cooperation creates opportunities for knowledge exchange, development of joint projects and long-term partnerships that go beyond individual initiatives. It contributes to building connections between Ukrainian and European cultural and civic contexts, and creates value for European partners through the exchange of experiences, new perspectives and common cultural practices.
At the same time, we provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with materials, equipment and technical support.
Our partners trust us, and we work diligently and responsibly to transform their support into tangible impact and long-term benefits for both Ukraine and European society.
